Hockey Camps by the Ottawa Admirals: This is our 6th summer of running camps and have built a great reputaion, resulting in us selling out very quickly.. we are on a first come first serve basis.

There are 11 Sports Left in our 1999-2000 Camp.

Camps are sold first come first serve. - You do not need to have played competitive hockey,
but if you are not trying out for competitive next year this camp might be too high
paced for you... last year we graduated 6 players to competitive from our camp.

The Ottawa Admirals will be running their hockey camp again this summer out of Carleton University. (Formerly the CPC Hockey Camp). Unlike past years where you purchased the complete summer, we have realized that people miss a lot of the sessions because of vacations so we have changed the fee structure this year.

The Camp this year will run for 10 Weeks from June 12th to August 14th (10 Weeks) but a registered person only has paid for 7 Sessions. This gives you 3 sessions for vacation. If you would like to attend all sessions, you can pay as you go after you get past the 7th session.

The Admirals Hockey Camps are divided into 3 parts (Power Skating, Skill Development and Situational Play).

Each Session starts with a power skating/conditioning session. This varies in length as the session progress to have the athletes in peak shape for tryouts in August.

The Second part of every session is Skill Development/Puck Confidence (The forwards work on such skills as quick shot, getting the puck off the boards, winning the battles down low etc - The Defence on Positioning, Slap Shot, playing the man in front of the net, partner support).

The Third part of every session is situation hockey. This is quite often 2 on 1, 3 on 2 hockey, forecheck drills, cycling etc.

Unlike most hockey camps, the Admirals Camps have a great student to teacher ratio, in past years we have had 24 skaters to 6 instructors, and plan on keeping a similar ratio this year. (the ratio varies depending on instructor availability and students attending).

Dedicated Power Skating Instructor : We are proud to announce that Shane Byne will be working with us this year as a power skating instructor. Shane worked with a lot of the 67s players, and NHL players through his previous employer, and will now be bringing that experience and knowledge to the Admirals along with the use of the Endless Ice treadmill.

Camp Registration :

1998,1997 and 1996 - Saturday 9am - 11 am at Carleton University. ($350.00) for 14 hours of ice (Additional sessions at $30.00 per session).

Early Registration Bonus has now ended.

1999-2000 - Saturday 11am -12 pm at Carelton Unversity ($175.00) for 7 hours of ice (Additonal sessions at $15.00 per session).

Early Registration Bonus has now ended.

Goalies are $75.00 Flat Rate - No Charge for additional sessions.
